WASTEFUEL JOINS LOW CARBON FUELS COALITION

New Member a Global Leader in Converting Municipal Waste into Clean Fuels

Sacramento, Calif Today, the Low Carbon Fuels Coalition (LCFC), announced its newest member: WasteFuel, a company addressing the climate crisis by utilizing proven, scalable technologies to convert municipal (trash) and agricultural waste into low carbon fuels, renewable natural gas, and green methanol. The LCFC is a technology-neutral trade association with a proven track record of supporting and expanding clean fuel standards.

“WasteFuel is at the forefront of reusing waste to create cleaner burning fuels,” said Graham Noyes, Executive Director of the LCFC. “They are going to be an important part of our Coalition supporting market-based, low carbon fuel policies to create jobs, improve air quality, and reduce greenhouse gas emissions through technology innovation that harnesses waste streams.”

“WasteFuel believes a meaningful part of mobility by air, land, and sea can be powered by our waste,” said Trevor Neilson, Co-Founder, Chairman, and CEO of WasteFuel. He added: “We are excited to join the Coalition to work with the important group of members to revolutionize the future of our mobility.”

NetJets, the world’s largest private aviation company has invested in WasteFuel and will purchase a minimum of 100 million gallons of WasteFuel from this project. Here is the announcement about NetJets and WasteFuel.

Maersk, the Danish shipping powerhouse, also recently announced their investment in WasteFuel to develop green bio-methanol from waste that would otherwise degrade, and release methane and other harmful emissions into the atmosphere. This venture marks the expansion of WasteFuel’s efforts from fueling air transport to fueling sea transport.
