  • Convened and led the New Mexico Clean Fuels Coalition to secure passage of a standalone Clean Transportation Fuel Standard in the nation’s second largest gas and oil state.

  • Coordinated stakeholders representing the entire range of clean fuels industries to publish a study by ICF, titled “Analyzing Future Low Carbon Fuel Targets in California,” to determine the feasibility of achieving even greater carbon intensity reductions in California’s Low Carbon Fuels Standard..

  • Provided research, policy development, and stakeholder analysis to deliver an assessment for a Clean Fuel Standard in Ohio.

  • Commissioned a comprehensive analysis of California’s Low Carbon Fuels Standard by Bates White, concluding the primary driver of transportation fuel costs is the price of a barrel of oil, and demonstrating cost savings to California drivers from renewable fuels.

  • Successfully advocated as part of a broad and diverse coalition for the passage of SB 32 and AB 197, extending California’s climate policies to 2030

  • Developed written materials and met with California lawmakers to emphasize the importance of the Low Carbon Fuels Standard as part of California’s climate strategy

  • Provided technical support to industry advocates and policy makers in Oregon, Washington, British Columbia, Ontario, and other states and provinces regarding low carbon fuel policy mechanisms

  • Coordinated the California program for the World Business Council’s launch of the below50 initiative in San Francisco at the Subnational Clean Energy Ministerial in 2016, held in conjunction with international climate negotiations.

  • Testified as the primary legislative witness for AB 692, establishing California state fleet procurement of very low carbon fuels

  • Supported the Re-adoption of the California Low Carbon Fuel Standard (LCFS) through comment campaigns, workshop participation, and meetings with ARB leadership

  • Participated in and submitted comments to dozens of public workshops and hearings pertaining to state level fuel policies and regulations

  • Successfully advocated along with other advocacy groups and industry for the approval of Oregon’s Clean Fuels Program

  • Developed and coordinated the campaign for a novel form of incentive, known as the Contract for Difference, from California’s GHG Reduction Fund (GGRF)

  • Provided a technical briefing to the International Energy Agency regarding the nature and benefits of Low Carbon Fuel Standard and Clean Fuel Program policy structures.

  • Lead organization for officially sanctioned Global Climate Action Summit Event, "DRIVING DECARBONIZATION: How Low Carbon Fuel Standards are Transforming Transportation, Saving Lives, and Igniting Innovation”

  • Advanced the work of below50 to expand the global market for the world’s most sustainable transportation fuels

  • Supported establishment of low carbon fuel policies in Canada as Technical partner and affiliate of Advanced Biofuels Canada

  • Supported establishment of low carbon fuel policies in Australia as Technical partner and affiliate of Queensland Renewable Fuels Association 

  • Developed a low carbon fuel standard toolkit for utilization by jurisdictions around the world for policy design in coordination with multiple organizations
